Bridal Jewelry and Superstition
Something Old, Something New
It might come as no surprise that a tradition as old as the wedding jewelry the bride chooses, especially the wedding ring, is surrounded by myths and superstition.
One such superstition declares that the bride must not remove the wedding ring from her finger for a full year if she wants to nurture the love that it represents. To avoid this, the bride must take the ring off her finger while still at the wedding ceremony, as long as she remembers to put it back on before she leaves.
